The Sixties:

The stories listed in this section take place at specified dates, but are later additions published long after the actual dates in question.

Winter Soldier: The Bitter March

Reprints Winter Soldier: The Bitter March #1-5 (April 2014 – September 2014).
Takes place in 1966.

No Fixed Time:

The stories listed in this section take place at no specified historical time, but are tied to the remainder of this timeline by their relevance to the Sliding Timeline of Marvel History (the roughly decade-long span of time since the Fantastic Four first gained their powers). That is to say, they precede the beginning of the Marvel Era, but must take place at specific intervals prior to the beginning of the Sliding Timeline.

Trouble

Reprints Trouble #1-5 (September 2003 – January 2004).
This title is of dubious canonicity, but assuming that it is in canon, it depicts the circumstances of Peter Parker’s conception, and is thus an important chapter in Marvel history.

Fantastic Four: Books of Doom

Reprints Books of Doom #1-6 (January 2006 – June 2006).
Begins several years prior to Victor von Doom’s creation of the Doctor Doom identity.

Daredevil: The Man Without Fear

Reprints Daredevil: The Man Without Fear #1-5 (October 1993 – February 1994).
Covers several years up to and including Matt Murdock’s creation of the Daredevil identity.

Daredevil: Battlin’ Jack Murdock

Reprints Daredevil: Battlin’ Jack Murdock #1-4 (August 2007 – November 2007).
Occurs during Daredevil: Man The Without Fear – in fact, occurs almost entirely within Jack Murdock’s final bout as a boxer.

The First X-Men

Reprints First X-Men #1-5 (October 2012 – January 2013).
Takes place shortly before the events of Weapon X.

Wolverine: Weapon X

Reprints Wolverine stories form Marvel Comics Presents #72-84 (March 1991 – September 1991).
Occurs at some point prior to the formation of the X-Men.

Invaders: The Eve of Destruction

Reprints Marvel Universe #1-7 (June 1998 – December 1998).
The first story in this book is an Invaders story set in 1945. The second occurs at this point, some time before the debut of the Fantastic Four, and thus this book is listed at both points in the timeline.

X-Men: Angel – Revelations

Reprints Angel: Revelations #1-5 (July 2008 – November 2008).
Occurs shortly prior to the formation of the X-Men.

X-Men: Origins

Reprints X-Men Origins: Beast (November 2008); X-Men Origins: Colossus (July 2008); X-Men Origins: Gambit (August 2009); X-Men Origins: Jean Grey (October 2008); X-Men Origins: Sabretooth (April 2009); and X-Men Origins: Wolverine (June 2009).
The stories in this volume occur at different times, but this is the best compromise placement.

X-Men: Origins II

Reprints X-Men Origins: Cyclops (March 2010); X-Men Origins: Deadpool (September 2010); X-Men Origins: Emma Frost (July 2010); and X-Men Origins: Nightcrawler (March 2010).
The stories in this volume occur at different times, but this is the best compromise placement.

Ororo – Before The Storm

Reprints Ororo: Before the Storm #1-4 (August 2005 – November 2005).
Occurs shortly before the events of Storm.
